I found no humor in this at all and wanted to send him back until I read "Marley and Me." How did you find humor in some of the things Marley did? He's taken whole sandwiches off people's plates. The first day we had him he jumped right onto our kitchen table. Question: We have a dog that we adopted from a shelter. There are some rescue groups who actually say they give the book out to people who want to turn the dog in … They think the story might help people try one more time with their dogs that are hard to control. I'm not working with them yet, but I have discussed someday working on some kind of fundraiser for them. Grogan: No, not the Humane Society, but I have been contacted by several dog rescue groups that think my book is a good story about a family who almost gave up on a bad dog but didn't.
